Kharistar International Academy Opens Admission for 2026/2027 Academic Year
Kharistar International Academy has officially opened admission for the 2026/2027 academic year, welcoming new students from the créche level all the way through junior high school. Located at Ho, Barracks New Town, the school is guided by the core values of leadership, faith, and attitude, and it continues to build a reputation as a nurturing institution where children can grow academically, socially, and spiritually.

The school’s academic program is structured to guide children through every stage of early and basic education, starting from infancy and continuing into their teenage years.
In the créche section, the focus goes beyond simple daycare. Teachers create a warm and secure environment where babies build trust and form early bonds that support a lifelong love of learning. Children in this stage benefit from educational toys, stimulating activities, and a milestone based curriculum that tracks each child’s individual progress.
The Nursery 1 program is designed for two year olds, a stage marked by rapid growth and curiosity. The curriculum encourages independence and creativity while supporting cognitive, social, and emotional development. Special attention is given to psychomotor activities that strengthen fine motor skills in preparation for writing and other essential tasks.

Nursery 2 serves children between three and four years old and works to bridge the gap between early childhood and kindergarten. The program emphasizes routine building and self help skills, helping children gain independence and confidence as they prepare for the next stage of learning.
Kindergarten is offered in two levels. Kindergarten 1 focuses on self regulation, following complex directions, effective communication, and sustaining attention, alongside foundational work in numeracy, literacy, phonics, creative arts, and science. Kindergarten 2 builds on this foundation with a strong reading program based on phonics instruction and the introduction of basic math skills such as addition and subtraction, preparing children for elementary school.

From Grade 1 through Grade 6, the elementary curriculum covers a broad range of subjects including Mathematics, English Language, Science, History, Religious and Moral Education, French, Ewe, Creative Arts, Global Studies, Computing, and UCMAS, an abacus based mental math program known for sharpening concentration and calculation skills in young learners.
At the Junior High School level, students continue with the same wide subject range, ensuring consistency and depth as they approach the transition to senior high education.

Beyond academics, Kharistar International Academy also fosters a strong sense of community among its staff, offering opportunities for career growth from the classroom to school management, and encouraging development from within.
